Watch

My dad wore a watch all of the time, even while he slept. He kept a journal every day and wrote down the time of his entry. Knowing the time and being on time was very important to him. When he was having trouble seeing the numbers on his old watch, I went looking for something with bigger numbers. As soon as I saw this one, I knew it was perfect! When I was purchasing it, I had the thought, someday he will be gone and maybe I would wear this watch. It’s a statement piece, very chic. It was just a flash of a thought and I went on my way. He wore it every day for the last five years of his life. It was there through good times and gigglefests. He wore it in the hospital and during his last days. He has been gone for two years and I have yet to wear his watch.
